The Next-Generation Vacaville Prius

The solar panels it would use would be sourced from Kyocera and would provide up to 5 kilowatts of electricity from each panel.Cost and other details about the prospective solar A/C were not released, and Toyota would not comment about the reports. An unnamed source told Reuters today that the solar A/C panels are "more of a symbolic gesture" since they would not produce enough power to run the climate control system on their own. What this means to you: A green car may be getting greener. — Laura Sky Brown, Correspondent Edmunds.com serves Pleasanton Livermore Dublin Manteca Lodi Modesto Stockton & Elk Grove California.
